Dad/Non-Gestational Parent Groups

Dad/Non-Gestational Parents Group

Hosted by a dad, this is a social group for dads and non-gestational parents looking to meet other parents who are in the same life stage of raising young children (from about to have a baby through 18 months old).

There probably has never been a time where more has been expected of parents in terms of their roles and responsibilities, but the level of support has not kept pace. This group will provide an open-minded environment to discuss the challenges (and positive experiences!) that come with adjusting as a dad/non-gestational parent.

Topics of discussion may include…

  • juggling all the tasks

  • changes in the relationship with your partner

  • financial worries

  • dealing with your triggers

  • changes to your own identity/lifestyle

  • strategizing about screentime

  • and more…

The hope is that you will learn something that will help you better adjust to parenthood but at the very least you’ll find belonging knowing that other parents are going through the same stuff you are!

From the group host, Eli:

Hi, I'm Eli and I have a 1-year-old son named Max. When Max was born, there was lots of support for my wife, but almost nothing for dads or non-gestational parents. So I'm changing that! I'm looking forward to meeting you all, talking about our experiences, building a supportive community, and helping each other through the life-changing experience that is early parenthood.
