HypnoBirthing®

Class Series

Preparation for a calm birth experience begins here

What is HypnoBirthing®?

HypnoBirthing®—The Mongan Method is a unique method of relaxing childbirth education enhanced by hypnosis techniques, providing the missing link that allows women and birthing people to use their instincts combined with information to bring about a safer, easier, more comfortable birthing experience in a way that supports the physiological process of birth.

Class emphasis is placed on both pregnancy and childbirth, as well as preparing for parenthood.

Whether preparing for an unmedicated birth or still considering your options, HypnoBirthing® helps you feel more prepared to meet birth wherever your experience takes you.

As a birthing method, HypnoBirthing® is as new as tomorrow and as old as ancient times.

"Bec’s HypnoBirthing class helped us more than we could have imagined. This is our first baby, and yet we are entering into our labor and birth feeling excited and empowered, and working as a team. "

— Sally H., former student

What are the benefits of HypnoBirthing®?

Designed by Marie Mongan, the HypnoBirthing® Mongan Method is based upon the idea that a natural, comfortable birth can be realized through deep relaxation and freedom from fear.

Expectant couples who take HypnoBirthing® classes with certified practitioners will learn…

  • how to achieve profound relaxation together through guided meditations and vizualizations

  • specific skills for all aspects of birthing and riding surges (contractions), including breathing techniques and labor positions

  • how to advocate with medical professionals while still maintaining a peaceful environment for birthing

  • partners will learn and practice hands-on skills to feel ready for providing labor support

HypnoBirthing® is very popular among couples and caregivers because the results are so great—less fear during pregnancy, confidence while birthing, and a more mellow life with baby.

Upcoming class series:

Currently scheduled series are below. Classes are offered in a hybrid (online and in-person) five week series on weekday evenings. The in-person class is held at Illuminated Birth & Company in Acton.

Winter series: Wednesdays, December 2nd through 30th from 6-9pm. The in-person class will be held 12/16. All others will be in a live online format.

Classes are $350 per ticket and can often be covered at least partially by insurance or paid by FSA/HSA card. Discounts are given in cases of financial need.

Your ticket to class is good for you and a birth partner (2 for 1!). We encourage both of you to attend classes, as partners are an integral part of the birth experience and this class will help birth partners to feel prepared with tools to know exactly how to provide helpful labor support.

Space is limited—sign up below! If the class you are interested in is full or you don’t see a time that works for you, please reach out. We can put you on a waitlist or potentially reschedule/offer make-up classes as needed. Get in touch here.

Because space is limited, the class fee is non-refundable unless your space is filled from our waitlist prior to the class starting.
